Spiritual Coaching Policy
Effective Date: April 6, 2026
Welcome to the Questions and Tisane Spiritual Coaching Policy! I’m Ashley Cantave, and I’m excited to begin working with you as a spiritual coach.
In order to best serve you, I want to make sure we’re on the same page about a few things. This policy is an agreement between you (the “client”) and me (the “coach” or “spiritual coach”) so we’re both aware of our rights and responsibilities throughout the coaching process.
How It Works
My coaching services are for people 18 years and older. If you’re younger than 18 years of age, I can’t work with you as a coach.
If you are 18 or older and interested in working with me, start by filling out the application here so I have a better idea of your particular situation. After I receive your application, I’ll respond to let you know whether I think we’re a good fit for each other. If I think we are, we can schedule a free 30-minute session to take place over Google Meet.
During this session, I’ll help you uncover one of your biggest hurdles to transitioning from Christianity to spirituality, and I’ll give you an action item you can use to start overcoming it. If you enjoy the session and would like to move forward, I’ll help you decide which of my coaching services is best suited to your needs (see the “Spiritual Coaching Services” section below).
After you choose a service, I’ll send you an invoice through PayPal for the then current price of the service you select. The cost must be paid before we can schedule paid coaching sessions, whether individual or as part of a package. If you choose to sign up for a package, day 1 of the package is the day of your first paid session. The end of the package will be eighty-nine (89) calendar days later (ninety (90) days total).
(Each “month” of the coaching package corresponds to a 30-day period, the first day of the first period beginning the day of your first paid session.)
Note: You don’t need a Google account to use Google Meet, but all messages exchanged through Google Chat will require one.
Spiritual Coaching Services
There are currently two coaching services you can choose from:
Individual 50-minute Spiritual Coaching sessions over Google Meet
The 50-minute sessions will be scheduled sometime during my coaching hours, which are Monday-Friday 12:00pm-4:00pm EST, excluding major US holidays (New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas).
The day before your session, I’ll send you an email reminding you of the date and time. Then on the day of the session, a few hours before it takes place, I’ll send you a Google Meet link you can use to join the meeting at the appointed time.
The 3-month (90-day) Spiritual Coaching package, which includes the following:
One 50-minute Spiritual Coaching session every week through Google Meet
Every week, I’ll schedule a 50-minute Spiritual Coaching session with you to discuss your answers to the journal prompts from the previous session or anything else you feel like discussing. This meeting will take place over Google Meet.
The sessions will be scheduled sometime during my coaching hours, which are Monday-Friday 12:00pm-4:00pm EST, excluding major US holidays (New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas).
The day before your session, I’ll send you an email reminding you of the date and time. Then on the day of your session, a few hours before it takes place, I’ll send you a Google Meet link that you can use to join the meeting at the scheduled time.
Assignments following every session
After every coaching session, I’ll email you a few journal prompts and/or action items to complete before your next session. While it’s up to you whether or not you do them, I strongly advise you to do them because they’ll help you make progress on your spiritual journey and keep track of the progress you’ve made. And if you don’t have time to write out your journal prompt answers somewhere (even digitally), I would encourage you to at least take time to reflect on them.
Please let me know if you’re having issues completing any of the assignments. The sooner you let me know, the sooner we can make adjustments.
Weekly check-in emails/messages to see how you’re doing
Just to make sure you’re getting along alright, I’ll be sending you an email or Google Chat message to see how things are. You can let me know what your preference for this communication is.
Unlimited messaging through Google Chat
When we’re not in a session, I still want to be able to offer you support. That’s why I invite you to send me as many messages as you like through Google Chat. I’ll respond to them during my coaching hours. Please allow a maximum of one hour for a response.
Email support
You can also email me anytime during your package, and I’ll respond during my coaching hours. Please allow a maximum of one hour for a response.
In addition, the package will be customized according to your needs. So, if I find that you could benefit from spending more time on one particular topic, we’ll give that topic more time.
Payment Policy
When you agree to schedule a paid coaching session or sign up for a coaching package, I’ll send you an invoice through PayPal for the cost. The cost must be paid before we can schedule your first individual paid session or session as part of a package. You don’t have to have a PayPal account to pay the invoice.
For the package, you have the option of paying in full or in installments. If you pay in installments, each “month” that you pay for is a 30-day period. Day 1 of the first period is the day of your first paid session.
Please note that when you submit a payment, you’re agreeing to this Spiritual Coaching Policy and the Privacy Policy. Please read them before submitting a payment. And also know that, although I will be the one working with you as a coach, you’ll be making a payment to my company Questions and Tisane, LLC.
Note: PayPal is a third-party payment processor. I’m not responsible for PayPal’s policies or privacy practices. I encourage you to read PayPal’s User Agreement and Privacy Policy before submitting a payment.
Cancellation
You can cancel a session or a package at any time for any reason. If you cancel an individual 50-minute session, I’ll ask if you would like to reschedule. If so, we’ll reschedule. If not, you’ll receive a refund in accordance with the “Refund Policy” below.
If you cancel a session as part of a package, we’ll reschedule. And if you cancel a package, you’ll receive a refund in accordance with the “Refund Policy.”
If your session time comes and you’re not in the Google Meet meeting, I’ll wait ten minutes. After that, we’ll have to reschedule. Unfortunately, I can’t extend meeting times if you don’t arrive on time, but if you’ve signed up for a package, we can try to make up for any missed time through messaging or email.
Though I will try my best to be present for every session and to respond to messages in a timely fashion, if for any reason I need to reschedule a session or take a break in responding to messages during coaching hours, I’ll let you know in advance. I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. We’ll reschedule the session if it’s part of a package. If it’s an individual session, I’ll ask if you would like to reschedule. If so, we’ll reschedule. If not, I’ll give you a full refund.
And if I have to cancel a package for any reason, I’ll let you know and give you a full refund. (See the “Disclaimer” below for more information.)
Refund Policy
This is the refund policy for 50-minute coaching sessions:
If for any reason you’re unable to attend a coaching session, you can cancel anytime before the session for a full refund. Also, if you’ve already paid for a session but fail to attend it without canceling, your full payment will be refunded.
No refunds will be given after a 50-minute session takes place.
This is the refund policy for the coaching package:
If you pay for the package in full, you’ll receive a full refund if you cancel anytime during the first 30 days of your package. (Day 1 begins the day of your first paid session.) If you cancel anytime during the first 60 days of your package, you’ll be refunded 50% of what you paid. No refunds will be given after the first 60 days.
If you pay for the package in installments, you’ll receive a full refund for your most recent payment if you haven’t attended any sessions within that “month” or 30-day period. If you’ve attended at least one session within that 30-day period you’ve paid for, no refund will be given for that month.
To request a refund, simply send me an email at ashleyc@questionsandtisane.com, and I’ll refund your payment to you.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is very important to me. Any information you share with me will be handled according to the Questions and Tisane Privacy Policy. Additionally, I will never disclose the details of our sessions or message exchanges (email or chat) with anyone unless I have your permission or am legally obligated to do so.
To further protect your privacy, if you’ve chosen to use Google Chat, I will delete our chat from my Google account sixty (60) days after the last message has been exchanged. If you become a client and for any reason you don’t have a copy of the messages but would like one, please let me know before that 60-day period has elapsed.
However you choose to communicate, I will keep your completed coaching application form and emails in case you decide to become a client or purchase another service in the future. If you would like me to delete your completed application and/or emails, please let me know.
Updates
From time to time, I may update this policy. The most current version will always be posted here and indicated by the “Effective Date” above. Please check back frequently to see if any changes have been made. I’ll notify you of any material changes with a notice at the top of this policy and through email, but I get to decide what changes qualify as “material.” If you continue to use the coaching services after the “Effective Date,” you’re agreeing to the new policy.
Disclaimer
Spiritual coaching is not a replacement for professional counseling or therapy. If you’re in need of either of these services, please see a qualified professional. After you send me a completed application, when I respond I’ll let you know whether I think professional counseling or therapy would be better for you. I’ll also let you know whether I think a different coach or service would be better suited to your needs.
And if, in the course of a session or package, I feel that counseling, therapy, or a different service would be better for you, I’ll let you know. If this happens during a package, I’ll cancel it and give you a full refund.
My Goal
My job as your spiritual coach is to help you on your spiritual journey. Since it’s your journey, it’s up to you to decide how you use the information and guidance I give you. But if you actively do the work, my goal is for you to be able to effectively navigate the transition from Christianity to spirituality, no longer feeling weighed down by religious rules and dogma.
While you may not make a complete shift during our time together, you will have the information, tools, and resources you need to make the shift in your own time. This will allow you to develop a spirituality that feels authentic to you, which will in turn put you in a better position to live a life that feels authentic to you. And in my opinion, when you’re living an authentic life, that’s the path to true happiness. Because it means you’re not living according to other people’s values or ideas of an ideal life. You’re living according to your own.
