Life Coaching Policy

Effective Date: December 20, 2024

Welcome to the Questions and Tisane Life Coaching Policy! I’m Ashley Cantave, and I’m excited to begin working with you as a life coach.

In order to best serve you, I want to make sure we’re on the same page about a few things. This policy is an agreement between you (the “client”) and me (the “coach”) so we’re both aware of our rights and responsibilities throughout the coaching process.

How It Works

My coaching services are for people 18 years and older. If you’re younger than 18 years of age, I can’t work with you as a coach.

If you are 18 or older and interested in working with me, start by filling out the form here so I have a better idea of your particular situation. We can then schedule a free 20-minute consultation to take place over Google Chat or by phone. I’ll let you choose which one you would prefer to use.

During that consultation, I’ll get a better feel for whether we’re a good fit for each other. And if I think we are and you would like to become a client, you can sign up for my coaching package. I’ll send you an invoice through PayPal for the then current price of the package.

The cost must be paid before we can start scheduling your coaching sessions. You can pay for the package all at once or in three installments (more on this in the “Payment Policy” section).

Note: Phone calls are currently only available to people in the US. All coaching sessions that take place over Google Chat will require a Google account.

Coaching Services

I’m currently offering a three-month (90-day) Life Coaching package. Here’s what the package includes:

  • One 50-minute Life Coaching Session every other week through Google Chat or by phone

    • These will be scheduled during my coaching hours, which are Monday-Friday 1pm-5:30pm EST, excluding major US holidays (New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas).

    • The day before your session, I’ll send you an email reminding you of the date and time. Then, at the time of the session, I’ll send you a message or call you on the phone number you provided (or an alternate number, if you prefer) and we can continue from there.

  • Assignments following every session

    • During your session, I’ll discuss assignments I would like you to complete before your next session. After your session, I’ll email you notes about what we discussed along with your assignments. While it’s up to you whether or not you do them, I strongly advise you to complete them because they’ll help you make progress toward your goals and keep track of the progress you’ve made.

    • Please let me know whether you have any issues completing the assignments. The sooner you inform me, the sooner we can make adjustments.

  • Unlimited messaging through Google Chat

    • You can message me at any time, and I’ll respond to you sometime during my coaching hours.

  • Email support

    • You can email me at any time, and I’ll respond to you sometime during my coaching hours.

Payment Policy

When you agree to sign up for a coaching package, I’ll send you an invoice through PayPal for the cost. We won’t schedule any coaching sessions until I’ve received your payment. You can pay for the package all at once or in three installments.

If you pay in installments, you’ll receive an invoice every month of your package on or around the same date that you received the first invoice. We’ll only schedule sessions one month at a time, so no new sessions will be scheduled until I’ve received your payment for each month.

Please note that when you submit a payment, you’re agreeing to this Life Coaching Policy and the Privacy Policy. Please read them before submitting a payment. And also know that, although I’ll be the one working with you as a coach, you’ll be submitting your payment to my company Questions and Tisane, LLC.

Note: PayPal is a third-party payment processor. Other than the fee you pay, I don’t handle payment or billing information, and I’m not responsible for PayPal’s policies or privacy practices. I encourage you to read PayPal’s User Agreement and Privacy Policy before submitting a payment.

Refund Policy

If you pay for the package in full, you’ll receive a full refund if you cancel anytime during the first 30 days of your package. (Day 1 begins the day of your first session.) If you cancel anytime during the first 60 days of your package, you’ll be refunded 50% of what you paid. No refund will be given after the first 60 days.

If you pay for the package in installments, you’ll receive a full refund for your most recent payment if you haven’t attended any sessions within that month. If you’ve attended at least one session within the month you’ve paid for, no refund will be given for that month.

To request a refund, simply send me an email at ashleyc@questionsandtisane.com, and I’ll refund your payment to you.

Cancellation

You can cancel a coaching package at any time for any reason. If you cancel, you’ll receive a refund in accordance with the “Refund Policy” above.

Though I will try my best to be present for every session, if for some reason I need to cancel one, I’ll do so before the session and ask when you would like to reschedule. And if I have to cancel the package for any reason, I’ll let you know and give you a full refund (see the “Disclaimer” below for more information).

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to me. Any information you share with me will be handled according to the Questions and Tisane Privacy Policy. Additionally, I will never disclose the details of our consultation, sessions, or message exchanges (email or chat) with anyone unless I have your permission or am legally obligated to do so.

To further protect your privacy, if you’ve chosen to use Google Chat, I will delete our chat from my Google account sixty (60) days after the last message has been exchanged (this includes consultations). If you become a client and for any reason you don’t have a copy of the sessions or messages but would like one, please let me know before that 60-day period has elapsed.

If you’ve chosen to communicate by phone, I’ll delete your number from my phone sixty (60) days after our last phone call. (If you choose not to sign up for a package, I’ll delete your number right away.)

However you choose to communicate, I will keep your completed coaching application form in case you decide to become a client or purchase another package or service in the future. If you would like me to delete your completed application, please let me know.

Updates

From time to time, I may update this Life Coaching Policy. The most current version will always be posted here and indicated by the “Effective Date” above. Please check back frequently to see if any changes have been made. I’ll notify you of any material changes with a notice at the top of this policy and through email, but I get to decide what changes qualify as “material.” If you continue to use the coaching services after the “Effective Date,” you’re agreeing to the new policy.

Disclaimer

Coaching is not a substitute for professional counseling or therapy. If you’re in need of either of these services, please see a qualified professional. When you send me a completed coaching application form, I’ll let you know whether I think professional counseling or therapy would be better for you. I’ll also let you know whether I think a different coach or service would be better suited to your needs.

And if, in the course of coaching you, I feel that counseling, therapy, or another service would be better for you, I’ll let you know. I’ll also cancel the package and give you a full refund.

I offer no guarantees as a result of using my coaching services. I’m only here to offer the best information and guidance I can to help you figure out what you should do in your particular situation. It’s up to you to decide how you use the information and guidance I give you. And even if you do follow my advice, I still offer no guarantees. The most I can say is that I will listen mindfully and without judgment to what you share with me and give you the best advice I can for your situation. The rest is in your hands.
